Workshop Overview

The Evidence-Based Management Workshop was created by Scrum.org. This workshop was designed for people that are trying to steer their organization through a turbulent and competitive marketplace. Intuitively most of us understand that the metrics and KPIs that we currently using only loosely correlate to business success. Mostly they align to activities that we “HOPE” will put us in a better position. If this sounds like you, sign up for this one day workshop or as an add-on 3rd day to our Professional Scrum Product Owner class. Scrum.org selects only the most qualified instructors to deliver this course. Scrum.org maintains the defined curriculum and materials to assure consistency and quality for students worldwide.

Workshop Objectives

Attendees of this workshop will be challenged to think in terms of business outcomes and how to approach this subject when they return to their workplaces.

  • Have a clear understanding of Evidence-Based Management
  • Successfully work with Stakeholders to focus on important business outcomes
  • You will understand an important distinction between Success equaling delivering your effort within the constraints of the “iron triangle” of Scope, Schedule and Resources and Success equaling value being maximized while quality and capabilities are sustained
  • Our Evidence-Based Management Workshop will help you better understand what “Value” is in the context of your organization and how to measure it
  • Effectively improve business agility

Target Audience

Is your leadership constantly pushing you to do more with less? We all know there is no silver bullet but we also know that we need a better way of solving complex problems. We need a path out of our current predict and pray for results pattern that most large organizations use for annual planning and project costing.

Scrum Masters, Product Owners and Agile Leaders will all benefit from this workshop.

Format

Students work in teams. They learn through team assignments, discussions, and hands-on exercises.
